DriveNow, the car-sharing joint venture between the BMW Group and Sixt has launched its car-sharing deal in London some weeks ago. It starts with 210 vehicles of BMW 1 Series and Mini Countryman available for short-term rent. For spring 2015 DriveNow also plans to integrate 30 all-electric BMW i3. The total fleet size in London will be expanded to 300 vehicles in 2015. The business area covers approximately 65 square kilometers, starting with the districts Islington, Haringey and Hackney. DriveNow aims at timely extension to the adjacent districts.
All DriveNow car-sharing vehicles (MINI and BMW) can be rented and parked across London’s business district. There are no fixed return stations.
